Why O dear Rain, are you so late
You seem to have forgotten, you were to be here
We are waiting parched, the fields and the flowers
As animals and birds, we all look upwards
Why O pure water, do you keep us parched
Your mighty showers, we look forward to bath
The clouds still spread thin, silver as old man's hair
We look for the young, lush black heavy clouds
The sun still scorns, an extended summer's dry
O mighty rains come down, do humble his pride
The children will dance, as will peacocks for you
The farmer will shower blessings, just shower water will you!
