Parched in thirst, a year long wait
Mud and grime, and bird nest waste
Trees long most, for that first rain
Which washes and brightens, both leaf and trunk
Which cares for and nourishes, the deepest roots
Water from the Gods, that sip of nectar
Generously dispersed, seated on clouds
We thank your gifts, masters in the skies
New life is born, by sipping this nectar
I stay hands folded, beholding this beauty
The leaves I have seen, were never this green
As a beautiful woman, who steps out of water
As a dazzling butterfly, who rests on a flower
Mud and grime, and bird nest waste
Trees long most, for that first rain
Which washes and brightens, both leaf and trunk
Which cares for and nourishes, the deepest roots
Water from the Gods, that sip of nectar
Generously dispersed, seated on clouds
We thank your gifts, masters in the skies
New life is born, by sipping this nectar
I stay hands folded, beholding this beauty
The leaves I have seen, were never this green
As a beautiful woman, who steps out of water
As a dazzling butterfly, who rests on a flower
