When you get irritated with your child
And still witness with love
His every reaction, your protective love cautious
To not cause him much hurt, only to kick as giraffe
So he can stand on his feet
When he hugs you after, even though you just showed anger
Realise that the bond, has now forged in fire
Hug him back with love, you mock anger forgotten
Shower him with affection, so he feels protected
Not just happiness and sadness, are moments that make memories
It's such moments of upheaval, that prove truly fulfilling
