When he was born, I saw my reflection
When he cries out, I feel pain within
When he gets scared, in crowded malls
I remember that, existential angst
How insecure we feel, would we survive
A primitive fight, for what's so little
When he laughs out, I can see why
So funny it is, to innocent sight
When engrossed I realize, how he is right
Interesting indeed, I just did not notice
Oh a child, is a beautiful gift
A reminder of, the beauty around
A true medium, to relive our life
When he cries out, I feel pain within
When he gets scared, in crowded malls
I remember that, existential angst
How insecure we feel, would we survive
A primitive fight, for what's so little
When he laughs out, I can see why
So funny it is, to innocent sight
When engrossed I realize, how he is right
Interesting indeed, I just did not notice
Oh a child, is a beautiful gift
A reminder of, the beauty around
A true medium, to relive our life
