Peace in country, Peace for world
Where humans raise dissent, but march till walls resent
Where not through violence, is a resolution sought
When a call for justice, aren't by divisions wrought
While innocents sleep, with faith and quiet
Ready to dream, achieve and rise
I have such vision, this yearn for peace
As must we all, nurtured by such Sun and Earth
I ignore not, cries of deafening noise
But of what virtue are tears, if drowning the humane
Channel thus, that not a flood, but as a stream be led
Not hit a rock, but merge with sea
Not trouble with out, but that silence within
Not inflict pain, but like The Mahatma endure
And realize: An eye for eye, make all go blind
Find peace first within, discern right from wrong
And then go out, with senses alert, tirelessly seek
What is believed, and known, for you are The One
Woken, Set to tune, by nothing more a gentle whisper
